چکیده
Isophya modesta, a bush-cricket species belonging to the subfamily Phaneropterinae, was found for first time outside of forest-steppe zone. This study is report on I. modesta in Poland. It at our sites Przemyśl Foothills (Pogórze Przemyskie) south-eastern Polish Carpathians, where inhabits xerothermic grasslands, dry and semi-dry meadows, but also successional meadows abandoned arable land. One site occupied by located within nature reserve, other may be threatened secondary succession or afforestation. We estimated population densities around 30–80 adult individuals per hectare, whole known consisted total 3,000 15,000 individuals. The discovered populations either insular character connected continuous range with from Opilia Upland Western Ukraine.

Isophya nagyi, a new phaneropterid bush-cricket (Orthoptera: Tettigonioidea) from the Eastern Carpathians (Caliman Mountains, North Romania)
This study describes Isophya nagyi sp. n. from the Caliman Mountains (Eastern Carpathians, Romania). This species was discovered on the basis of the special rhythmic pattern of its male calling song. Regarding morphology Isophya nagyi is similar to the species of the Isophya camptoxypha species-group (I. ciucasi, I. sicula, I. posthumoidalis, I. camptoxypha), however the male stridulatory file ...
متن کاملThe bush-cricket Isophya kraussii (Orthoptera: Phaneropteridae): bioacoustics, distribution and description of a new subspecies from Romania.
Isophya kraussii Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1878, one of the widest spread bush-crickets within this genus, is confirmed to be present east of the Carpathian Mountains. Based on acoustic analysis and morphological characters, the populations from NE Romania are considered to belong to a different subspecies, I. kraussii moldavica ssp. n. A map with distribution of both subspecies is presented.
متن کاملIsolated populations of the bush-cricket Pholidoptera frivaldszkyi (Orthoptera, Tettigoniidae) in Russia suggest a disjunct area of the species distribution
Phylogenetic analysis and assessment of the species status of mostly isolated populations of Pholidoptera frivaldszkyi in south-western Russia occurring far beyond the accepted area of the species distribution in the Carpathian-Balkan region were performed. Using the mitochondrial DNA cytochrome c oxidase subunit I gene fragment, we found a very low level of genetic diversity in these populatio...
متن کاملA new, morphologically cryptic bush-cricket discovered on the basis of its song in the Carpathian Mountains (Insecta, Orthoptera, Tettigoniidae)
A new, morphologically cryptic species of phaneropterine bush-crickets is described from the grasslands of the Romanian Eastern Carpathians. Despite the morphological and acoustic similarities with the recently described Isophya nagyi Szövényi, Puskás & Orci, I. bucovinensissp. n. is characterized by a peculiar male calling song, with faster syllable repetition rate (160-220 syllables per minut...
متن کاملIsolation and Characterization of Microsatellite Loci for Stys's Bush-Cricket, Isophya stysi, and Cross-Species Amplification in Closely Related Species from the Phaneropteridae Family
Ten microsatellite loci were isolated and characterized for Stys's bush-cricket, Isophya stysi Cejchan (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae), an endemic Orthoptera species to the Carpathian Basin, using an enriched genomic library procedure. The polymorphism of these loci were tested in two populations of I. stysi, and the number of alleles per locus varied from 4 to 16. The expected and observed heteroz...
